Happy Halloween Oral Fixers!

Halloween has struck Manhattan! It is always pretty amusing during Halloween Week, you never know what you are going to see on the subway or walking down the street. Just this morning, I encountered a Hannibal Lector, a Killer Bee, and countless business men and women proudly displaying their orange button downs under their black suits – even corporate America is subtly “costumed”.

One incredibly fabulous party this week was the Absolut 100 and UrbanDaddy Roaring 20’s Halloween Gala. All the men got into character by doning tuxedos, flyboy outfits, and paperboy caps while the women did their best Charleston with the flapper fringe well, flapping. The party was held in a restored mansion in Tribeca, cars from the era were lined up outside, and a crowd of paparazzi were waiting to take pictures. Very glamorous!

Once we walked into the mansion, we were met with cigarette girls handing out, you guessed it, Oral Fixation mints! Since the tins are reminiscent of 1920’s cigarette cases, it was a perfect fit. The mints were an absolute (pun intended) hit! The Dreamland Orchestra played hits from back in the day and kept us Fox Trotting well into the night. As the Absolut 100 vodka flowed, we clinked our martini glasses and toasted to our trip back in time to the Roaring ’20’s.

They say Halloween is when the ghosts come out to play. I only hope the spirits that haunt me are flappers and dandies, those crazy kids know how to party! Happy Halloween!!!

Hello Daily Fixers!
Okay, I know, it has been forever since we have written, but we have a good excuse-we have been spreading fresh minty cheer all over the country!
First Oral Fix strutted down the red carpet at the Emmy Awards. As preparation before the show, Entertainment Weekly offered gift baskets, including our tins as a Hollywood favorite. Our mints were the perfect preparation for nominees before meeting and greeting their fellow celebrities and fans. Then stars got their fix all night long from our table at the HBO after party. The cast of the Sopranos, Entourage, and Rome couldn’t get enough of our Jasmints and Fabulous Fruit mints.
That was last month…This month we focused on giving back for Breast Cancer Awareness month. By donating 5% of our proceeds from the sale of Fabulous Fruit mints to the American Cancer Society, we worked hard to be a part of the growing fight to find a cure. The response to our efforts was overwhelming, literally our mints were flying off the shelves!
Brides Magazine did their part with their Brides Against Breast Cancer, where Fabulous Fruit mints made it into their lovely pink gift bags. Old City Life Magazine also made a difference with their Keep-a-Breast event in Florida complete with fashion show, art walk, and pink martinis handed all around. Cheers!
Finally, we took part in honoring New York’s most influential and powerful by teaming up with New York Moves magazine for a night to remember at Guastavino’s. Mira Sorvino, Ivanka Trump, Candace Bushnell, Laura Bush, and Alison Silverman are just some of the women that were honored, and Oral Fixation mints were of course the sweet treat choice of the night.
